The BCE Level 2 & 3 in Art & Design will provide you with the opportunity to begin to develop your technical skills in various art disciplines. This will involve exploring materials, methods, and processes that will define your vision and style.
You will use state-of-the-art equipment and learn from tutors who are embedded in the creative industries.

Building a portfolio of work that explores a number of different avenues, you will be given the opportunity to understand a wide variety of disciplines and directions. Demonstrate your skills in drawing, painting, illustration, fine art, and sculpture. Use multi-disciplinary thinking to apply these to a number of creative industries including fashion, games design, production arts, animation and VFX.

Progression Routes

The BCE Level 2 in Art & Design will give you the opportunity to progress into a wide variety of creative avenues in BCE; potentially developing your skills in a Level 3 Fashion Design, Games Design, Theatrical and Media Makeup, Production Arts or Media courses. You will also be able to progress into a Level 3 apprenticeship in Junior Content Production with BCE. With your Level 3 Diploma from BCE you will have the qualifications needed to progress to a Level 4 2D Arts / Visual Effects apprenticeship or University.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have 3 GCSEs at grade D(3) or above (including English). A GCSE grade D(3) or Level 1 in Art & Design would be desirable.
