CRXSS PLATFXRM is a multi-disciplinary arts organisation and a safe creative space for diverse artists and creative thinkers pushing forward what’s next in Street Culture.

Dedicated to celebrating and supporting artists who cross pollinate ideas, approaches and art forms, CRXSS PLATFXRM brings together dance, music, fashion, film, art and technology, creating unique experiences for artists and audiences.

Previous partnership projects and commissions include Latitude Festival, Dance Umbrella for Shoreditch Town Hall, Southbank Centre, Peckham Festival and Central St Martins.

 CRXSS PLATFXRM is recruiting an Events Assistant to support our 2019/2020 activities. This role is key to supporting the artistic team in the preparation, delivery and evaluation of all its core programmes and cliental work. This role will suit someone who is highly driven and wanting to get experience in event management in the arts and culture sector, but who is also interested in Street Culture. You must be able to plan, organise and deliver to brief and work within a fast pace artistic team across multiple areas including producing, project management, artistic direction and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Artistic Director, Producer, Project Manager and Digital Engagement Producer to support on all logistical and administrative tasks.
  • Assisting with creative decision making and implementing any administration actions from the team across departments.
  • Support CRXSS PLATFRXM in tasks leading up to events and after the event including liaising with artists, social media support, inventory checks and organising evaluation data.
  • Maintain and manage event files
  • Research new suppliers, contacts and venues and offer pro-active ideas
  • Contribute towards the overall smooth operation of CRXSS PLATFXRM
  • Adopt the organisation values and positively contribute towards our visibility within Street Culture

Essential experience

  • Experience in actioning tasks independently and working within a team setting
  • Awareness of CRXSS PLATFXRM’s aesthetic execution, tone of voice and brand
  • Interest in the Street Culture community: artists, organisations, blogs etc.
  • Ability to work across all Microsoft Office programmes
  • Has access to their own computer/laptop.
