Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I am a young individual who dreams of becoming a film director. I would also like to take part in film distribution and be a representative for gender equality in the film industry. I have my own website where I promote my skills of Photography, Videography and Sketching.

What’s your favourite moment from BCE?

My favourite moment at BCE has to be when we all got into large groups and made a music video, because this was when I realised I was growing as an individual who loved to film. Looking back at the final edit, I was able to recognise all the skills I had gained and identify areas for development.

What are your aspirations once you complete your course?

My aspirations are to become a Film Director and be able to represent women in the Film Industry. I also have a personal goal to create a Marvel film someday.

What do you like most about studying at BCE?

I love spending 3 days a week with a great class who all want to achieve. It’s such a positive atmosphere because our similar interests allow us to work together and share our skills. I also have a great media teacher who is very supportive.

Sammi Wahed - Drama Level 3

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I am 17 years old and have had a passion for acting for as long as I can remember. I have also experimented in other fields such as hairdressing and coaching, this has allowed me to realise what I want to do in the future. I also enjoy sports such as Ice Hockey and Basketball and I also like to network and get to know people.

What’s your favourite moment from BCE?

My favourite moment was our first performance as I was given a major role that I thought I would struggle with but I managed to accomplish my goal. By doing so I was extremely proud of myself and my confidence was significantly boosted.

What are your aspirations once you complete your course?

I have always wanted to study Script Writing and Directing. In the future I would like to open a school in a third world country to bring creativeness to a place with limited opportunities.

What do you like most about studying at BCE?

I like the fact that almost every individual you encounter at BCE is creative in some way. I find this extremely inspiring and allows me to take steps outside of my comfort zone.

Miriam Karamoko - Fashion Level 3

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I am a Fashion Design student and art has always been something that interests me. I enjoy Fine Arts but I also love Music & Events Management which made BCE the perfect place.

What’s your favourite moment from BCE?

My favourite moment was working for one of the London Fashion Week shows (Royal Fashion Day). It was an amazing day and I had the opportunity to feel what it is like working under pressure with professionals from the Fashion Industry.

Another favourite moment was when I got the opportunity to work on Etta Bond’s music video. I was part of the styling team and also got to assist in non-fashion related things such as lighting.

What are your aspirations once you complete your course?

I am hoping to study Interior Design in order to expand my knowledge in another subject. I also want to keep up with Fashion in my own time and maybe start my own clothing brand.

What do you like most about studying at BCE?

I love the range of diverse and talented individuals I come across on a daily basis. I am able to use other people’s skills and talents when I need help with filming and editing a video or taking photographs.




Kane Kneller - Dance Level 3

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I’m a 17 year old Hip-Hop dancer and have been training since the age of 14. I was self-taught for a year then joined classes and dance schools. Soon after, I started entering competitions and performing at several shows, at one of which I was crowned British Champion.

What’s your favourite moment from BCE?

My favourite moment was performing at BCE’s Christmas Showcase, this was a highlight for me because I enjoyed performing the sets to my peers.

Another big moment was being filmed for the social media team’s ‘Freestyle Friday’ project showcased on BCE’s YouTube.

What are your aspirations once you complete your course?

When I leave BCE, I would like to have my own dance company and be able to share my skills and passion with a younger generation and hopefully enter them into shows and competitions. I would also like to get bookings to teach
workshops or perform at events.

What do you like most about studying at BCE?

I like the way we get to study deep into dance and practice many different genres and techniques, all of which will help in the future. I also love the atmosphere around the college. There is always a buzz as we meet other musicians, designers and producers.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I have had a passion for singing from a young age and realised I wanted a career in music when I was in Primary School. I joined the choir and always took part in school performances. Since joining BCE I have been working very hard towards my goal.

What’s your favourite moment from BCE?

I always like it when there are performances because everyone is able to share their talents with each other. I also enjoy performing with a band because I love improvising and adding my own flavour to a song.

What are your aspirations once you complete your course?

When I complete my course I would like to make my own music and share it via social media. I would also like to study music at University and continue to improve.

What do you like most about studying at BCE?

I like that everyone is talented as this inspires me to be better and continue working hard towards my music. I have been able to collaborate with other musicians, rappers and singers which has been great as it is always good to learn to work with different types of artists.

Donnie Shipanga - Events Level 3

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I have always been interested in music and I have been around artists and recording studios from a young age. I love going to festivals, concerts and sports events which is how I got into Events Management at BCE.

What’s your favourite moment from BCE?

My favourite moment was when I was the Stage Manager at our first event called ‘Black And White’, held at Stratford Circus. I was in charge of making sure the acts were ready for their set.

What are your aspirations once you complete your course?

I am not sure what career path I want to take at the moment. I am very Interested in sports but also feel that I have good business skills and I can imagine starting my own company.

What do you like most about studying at BCE?

I have made many friends here and I love the family atmosphere. BCE is a creative college and each day brings something new and different. I didn’t really enjoy school but I love coming to BCE every day.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

In my spare time I enjoy jamming with friends and doodling. I play guitar, piano and a few other Instruments and I also sing and harmonise. I enjoy learning new skills and a particular interest of mine is programming. I may seem shy and awkward at first but gain confidence when I get to know someone.

What’s your favourite moment from BCE?

My favourite moment at BCE so far is being able to be part of the student profiles. I have also really appreciated how friendly both staff and students have been considering I’m fairly new.

What are your aspirations once you complete your course?

After completing my course I would like to get a job in the Gaming Industry. I would also consider a career in Information Technology or Art.

What do you like most about studying at BCE?

I like the recources at BCE that are available to students. There are a lot of Apple Macs and software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Maya, Unity and Moviestorm.

Nicolas Ramirez - Music Production Level 2

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I am a DJ and Producer from Columbia and my artist name is Nico Ramirez. I first got into music at the age of 6 when my neighbour gave me a few lessons on how to DJ and mix tracks. I had to put my music on hold until I was able to join BCE. I can now direct my energy back into producing and mixing tracks.

What’s your favourite moment from BCE?

My favourite moment was the first time I was able to use BCE’s Mix & Master Studio, the Industry standard equipment was great! Another favourite moment was playing in the Summer Showcase hosted at Rich Mix in Shoreditch where I was the DJ for the show.

What are your aspirations once you complete your course?

My goal is to work for a well known label or to create a DJ or Production company where I can sign my own artists. Another aspiration is to be able to DJ at popular shows such as Tomorroland, Ultra Music Festival in Miami and Ushuaia in Ibiza.

What do you like most about studying at BCE?

I love the environment and atmosphere at BCE. Staff & students are always friendly and up for collaborations. My tutor has helped me a lot by offering his advice, guidance and tips as he produces similar music to mine. I also love the support from staff as well as the opportunities I have been given since studying at BCE.
